St James’s, London Celebrates White Shirt Week

As white shirts are our most popular shirts bespoke, ready to wear, in the shop and online, it is good to serenade the most loved shirt on Monday in Jermyn Street. We have chosen a white linen for our window as the sun shone into the shop today and we hope it will bring Spring soon.  I have made shirts and advised on many a perfect white shirt story, the equivalent of a woman’s LBD, most recently last week for GQ about the perfect writer’s white shirt. My most famous white shirt only customer was Lucien Freud who gave me his paint splattered favourite white shirt to copy many years when I first made for him. White Poplin in 2/120’s, 2/170’s, 2/190’s, 2/200’s, Voile, Oxford, Sea Island, twill, herringbone, organic pique, Marcella or pleated fronted, silk, linen……the choices within wonderful white are endless.
