A Different Kind of Weave
Woven in Italy in my favourite specialist linen mill Solbiati, we bought several of this Summer’s collection in the subtle herringbone weave, in soft natural colours. The weave adds character and body to the plain linens, but it is still cool and breathable.
Every piece is cut by hand and sewn in our Gloucester workrooms, where the direction of the weave is carefully matched across every seam. I love this herringbone for shirts, pyjamas, boxer shirts and dressing gowns, and this year we have made a relaxed Summer trouser collection too.

Our thanks to the creative team at Bearland House this week, who have been coming in at 6 am to beat the heat, is a huge new fridge freezer which has been filled with cold drinks and ice cream. Air conditioning is a challenge in an 18th-century townhouse, but many fans in the cutting and sewing rooms are keeping the work flowing.
From us all at Emma Willis, we thank you for your support and wish you a happy weekend.
Best wishes,
